As a Nuclear Plant Operator, you will:

  • Operate and control equipment that generates electricity and supports the reactor.
  • Use special diagnostic tools to monitor the condition of the reactor, generation, and support system.
  • Perform maintenance checks on equipment and identify required repairs.
  • Ensure written procedures comply with regulation requirements.

  • You'll also need to:

  • Work safely and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Follow written procedures accurately.
  • Work in a large power plant/industrial environment.
  • Work rotating shifts.
  • Be curious about how things work. Solve problems.
