As a Nuclear Plant Operator, you will:
Operate and control equipment that generates electricity and supports the reactor.
Use special diagnostic tools to monitor the condition of the reactor, generation, and support system.
Perform maintenance checks on equipment and identify required repairs.
Ensure written procedures comply with regulation requirements.
You'll also need to:
Work safely and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
Follow written procedures accurately.
Work in a large power plant/industrial environment.
Work rotating shifts.
Be curious about how things work. Solve problems.
