If you live in Nebraska, it is likely that the Nebraska Public Power District generates the electricity that runs your computer, Wii, or recharges your iPod. NPPD is 2,200 employees strong, and dedicated to enhancing your quality of life.
Our power plants make electricity from a variety of fuel sources, like wind, water, coal, natural gas, and even nuclear atoms. Our transmission lines - more than 5,000 miles of them - carry the electricity from our power plants to homes and businesses in 85 of Nebraska's 93 counties. About 1 million Nebraskans receive the electricity NPPD generates.
